I’m currently a volunteer director of Cargodale, a local bike delivery service that serves small businesses in my home area of Calderdale. Conceived at the start of the pandemic as part social enterprise, part test bed for bike delivery, it now has around 15 riders, 3 directors and is a living wage employer. It’s not easy running a bike delivery service in one of the UK’s hilliest areas, but if it works here, it can work anywhere.

You can find out more about the project at cargodale.co.uk – I’d recommend starting with this blog post.
